WHSCT Clerical Officer - Band 3 Audiology

The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the provision of efficient, effective and comprehensive clerical support to the Audiology and Hearing Aid Service.

• Responsible for the planning and booking of clinics for the Audiology Team trust wide using a unique Audiology database.
• Deal appropriately with telephone enquiries and face to face from professionals, service users, carers, relatives and other agencies.
• Responsible for the booking of Interpreters, Sensory Support staff and Education Support staff who are on occasion required to attend patient’s appointments.
• Ensuring patient notes are prepped and available for clinics
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail including postal battery service for hearing aid users.
• Responsible for the administration of ear mould orders.

• 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language and Maths or equivalent or higher educational standard and 2 years administrative/ clerical experience
• Or 3 years administrative/ clerical experience
• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
• This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
• Experience working in the Acute sector
• Experience managing the booking of appointments for a Team.
