MJ’s Menswear is a locally owned retailer with stores in Derry and Omagh. We specialise in suits, formal wear, and contemporary menswear, offering quality tailoring and exceptional service for weddings, communions, and everyday occasions. Our Derry store is seeking a Sales Executive who can combine strong customer service with digital marketing skills to help grow our brand both in‑store and online.
Role OverviewThis is a dual role combining shop‑floor sales with digital marketing. Ideally, candidates will have proven sales experience, but we also welcome applicants with digital marketing/social media expertise who are eager to learn sales skills. Full training will be provided to support development on the shop floor.
The role is also an ideal stepping stone for someone pursuing a marketing career. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive MJ’s digital marketing presence, gaining hands‑on experience in social media campaigns, content creation, and brand building while developing retail sales expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring every client feels valued and supported.
- Confidently sell suits and formal wear, tailoring recommendations to customer needs.
- Conduct fittings and provide styling advice for communions, weddings, and formal occasions.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets.
- Maintain product knowledge across all ranges and communicate features/benefits effectively.
- Create engaging content for MJ’s Menswear social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok).
- Promote special offers, new arrivals, and in‑store events online.
- Support paid advertising campaigns and track performance.
- Build community engagement by showcasing customer experiences and local partnerships.
- Work alongside management to grow MJ’s digital presence and brand awareness.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale system accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining store presentation standards.
- Uphold MJ’s brand values of authenticity, professionalism, and community trust.
- Option A: Proven experience in suit sales or formal wear retail.
- Option B: Digital marketing/social media experience with a willingness to train in sales.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and peak retail seasons.
- Team player with a proactive, professional attitude.
