Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
This is a 100% remote, part-time bookkeeper position. We’re estimating no more than 25 hours per month. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tech or other online startups and will be comfortable handling multi-currency accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of company
- Complete data entry and collect transaction details for incoming and outgoing bank accounts.
- Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly)
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Use Quick Books Online, spreadsheets, and other databases to post up-to-date financial transactions.
- Track debits (incoming dollars) and credits (outgoing dollars) for each account.
- Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconcile or report any discrepancies in financial reports.
- Produce tax-ready books that can be handed off to an accountant
- Analyze and advise on the company’s financial health and other financial decisions
- Forecast cash flow and assist in the creation of budgets
- MUST have experience with Quickbooks Online
- MUST have experience handling multiple accounts and multi-currency accounts
- Exemplary planning and time management skills
- High-level verbal and written communications skills
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Good problem-solving ability
- Experience with tech startups is a plus
- Experience handling bookkeeping for North American companies
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- A minimum of an Intuit Bookkeeping Professional Certificate or other Bookkeeping Certification
- Experience handling Canadian tax filings is a MASSIVE plus, please let us know if this is applicable to you!
- INR 10,000 per month for 25 hours per month.
- Generous PTO, plus one day off every month for BC Statutory Leave, and one floating day per month to use for mental health, in addition to PTO.
If hired, you will need to complete a 90-day paid probationary period.
NOTE: This is a remote position, and 99% asynchronous, this means that as long as the work gets done you can work at any time that’s convenient for you. There may be an occasional meeting required during the early evening Indian Standard Time.
