Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team based in our Customer Support Centre in Walsall. After a probationary period, the role offers flexibility to work from home one day per week. As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely processing of invoices, that queries and issues are resolved and that statements of reconsolidation are completed accurately.

• Reconciling invoices to booking in sheets, liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve price discrepancies.
• Resolving supplier queries and invoices.
• Issuing debit notes where required and following them through to resolution.
• Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Ensure that any correspondence relating to overdue accounts is actioned and resolved.

• A minimum of 12 months in an accounts payable role from within a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience of using a finance system. A working knowledge of Oracle is highly desirable.
• A detailed understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls.
• Strong experience of Excel.
