We are seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join our Ottawa office. This opportunity is ideal for a professional looking to expand their leadership capabilities while managing a diverse portfolio of international private and public clients.
You’ll collaborate closely with senior managers and partners, lead a team of accountants, and contribute to high‑impact audit, tax, and advisory engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full‑cycle audit engagements from planning through financial statement sign‑off.
- Manage accounting, audit, and tax service needs across a varied client base.
- Provide guidance on journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax filings.
- Meet with clients to discuss financial statements, engagement issues, and business insights.
- Assign engagement budgets and monitor timelines in coordination with partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Mentor and manage a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
- University degree with a specialization in Accounting.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent designation (completed or near completion).
- Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and assurance principles.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and support client reporting requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with audit, accounting, and tax software (e.g., Case Ware, Taxprep, Quick Books).
