Salary : £30,000 – £35,000 DOE

Hybrid : 1–2 days working from home

We’re currently recruiting for a small and well-established property management firm in Portsmouth who are looking for their next Accounts Manager / Assistant Service Charge Accountant. You'll be joining a close-knit, experienced team consisting of Property Managers, Support Staff, Accountants and Senior Management. The business takes pride in going the extra mile for their clients and leaseholders, and in return offers a positive, collaborative, and genuinely supportive working environment.

In this role, you’ll support the end-to-end service charge accounting process, working closely with the wider team to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth delivery of accounts to clients. You’ll assist with preparing service charge budgets, reconciling expenditure, handling queries from internal teams and leaseholders, processing invoices, supporting year-end accounts preparation, and liaising with external accountants where required. The team works together with a real “one team” mentality, so you’ll have plenty of support from colleagues while also developing your own skills and experience.

Their portfolio is locally based across the Portsmouth and Southsea region, with strong long-term client relationships built through trust, reliability, and personal service. Requirements :

• Experience in property accounts / service charge accounting preferred
• Experience using Qube desirable
• Open to junior and assistant level applicants
• Must live local to Portsmouth / Southsea
