Looking for a hands‑on Assistant Accountant role where you’re genuinely valued, trusted, and supported? Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing payments and day‑to‑day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, sales ledger and bank reconciliations
- Entering, maintaining, and managing data within management systems
- Taking responsibility for payroll processes and P11D submissions
- Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and meeting all deadlines
- Producing and extracting KPI data to monitor performance and support presentations
- Preparing and supplying data for reporting to senior management (data provision, not direct report writing)
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant / Finance Manager / Accounts and Payroll Manager
- Experience using Sage accounting software
- Payroll experience or exposure (full responsibility not essential)
- A steady, reliable personality looking for a long‑term role (not a stepping stone)
- To be a confident communicator, comfortable with a wide range of stakeholders and customers
