The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in fund administration, investment accounting, valuation controls, and financial reconciliation, with the ability to coordinate effectively with fund administrators, custodians, investment managers, and internal stakeholders in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently validate NAV calculations prepared by fund administrators, transfer agents, and other service providers.
  • Review fund assets, liabilities, accrued income, expenses, management fees, performance fees, and other adjustments affecting NAV.
  • Reconcile cash balances, securities positions, investment transactions, income, expenses, and other portfolio records against custodian and administrator statements.

  • Assess the materiality of identified errors and coordinate timely investigation, correction, escalation, and reporting.
  • Monitor fund administrator performance against agreed service-level agreements, operational procedures, and valuation standards.
  • Review corporate actions, trade settlements, foreign exchange movements, income accruals, and other events that may affect fund valuations.
  • Verify the accurate application of fund-specific accounting policies, valuation policies, fee schedules, and investment restrictions.
  • Review expense allocations, equalization adjustments, performance fee calculations, and other fund-specific accounting treatments where applicable.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, investment managers, brokers, auditors, and internal finance teams to resolve valuation and accounting issues.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end NAV oversight activities, including financial reporting and audit preparation.
  • Monitor NAV error incidents and assess their potential impact on fund performance reporting, investor statements, and financial records.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of NAV reviews, reconciliations, valuation judgments, approvals, and corrective actions.
  • Review fund accounting reports and supporting schedules for completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable accounting policies.
  • Support oversight of valuation committees and fair value review processes where required.
  • Assist with the review of new fund launches, changes in investment strategies, new asset classes, and modifications to valuation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate oversight records, issue logs, reconciliation trackers, and operational risk documentation.
  • Prepare management reports covering NAV accuracy, outstanding breaks, valuation exceptions, administrator performance, and operational risks.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments relating to fund valuation and investment operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve NAV oversight controls, reconciliation procedures, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Protect confidential fund, investor, and financial information in accordance with applicable privacy and information security requirements.
  • Perform all responsibilities remotely while maintaining effective coordination with geographically distributed teams and external service providers.
Qualifications and Experience
