Project Accountant

Staff Accountant / Project Accounting Analyst - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY TO DALLAS/FORT WORTH. MUST WORK ONSITE 4 DAYS.Overview

SNI Financial is actively recruiting a Project Accountant for a growing organization to support month-end close, project accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting activities. This role offers exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and revenue recognition entries.
• Monitor vendor payments, project costs, customer billing activity, and financial compliance documentation.
• Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, project status, and job cost reporting.
• Investigate variances, identify trends, and assist with financial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audit requests, and financial planning activities.
• Participate in process improvements, internal control enhancements, and workflow optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with project accounting, work-in-process (WIP), percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, or cost accounting is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing business needs.
