Are you a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeper with strong Xero expertise and a solid background supporting Australian businesses? Join our team and take ownership of end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, and compliance functions while working closely with clients. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

At least 5 years of overall experience in accounting practice.

Minimum of 3yrs AU Accounting/Bookkeeping experience required.

Solid background on bookkeeping using XERO accounting software.

Well adept on Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook).

Above average written and verbal communication skills.

Manage end-to-end bookkeeping using Xero, including bank, credit card, Pay Pal, and petty cash reconciliations.

Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, bill uploads via Hubdoc/Ezzy Bills, supplier statement reconciliations, and stakeholder communication.

Process payroll, STP lodgments, superannuation payments, employee reimbursements, timesheet reviews, and payroll-related compliance obligations.

Prepare and lodge Payroll Tax, Work Cover, CoInvest, and other industry-specific employee reporting requirements.

Complete year-end payroll reconciliations, payment summaries, and manage Work Cover claims.

Maintain fixed asset registers and process monthly depreciation.

Prepare monthly management reports, including Aged Payables, Aged Receivables, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and Budget vs Actual vs Forecast reporting.

Maintain the General Ledger, post journal entries, and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and TPAR through Xero Tax, perform annual BAS reconciliations, extract ATO lodgments, and liaise directly with the ATO.

Support practice management and perform ad hoc bookkeeping and administrative tasks as required.
