Internal Auditor

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Internal Auditor to enhance their governance, risk management, and control processes. This fully remote role allows you to contribute significantly to the organization's operational integrity from anywhere in South Africa, serving clients that may be located around Upington and other key business areas. You will conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify operational inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

This position is crucial for safeguarding company assets and improving business performance.

• Plan and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Identify risks and areas for process improvement within the organization.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations with management.
• Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CIA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of auditing principles, risk management, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments remotely.
