US Tax Accountant

Our clients rely on us for accurate financial information and strategic advice. We're growing steadily and are looking for an experienced accounting professional who wants to become a key leader within the firm.

What You'll Do Client Accounting

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts
• Perform monthly reconciliations and close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Ensure high-quality client deliverables

Tax Support

• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and compliance
• Research accounting and tax issues as needed
• Support clients throughout tax season

Team Leadership

• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
• Review work for accuracy and completeness
• Improve workflows, documentation, and quality control
• Help build and scale the accounting team over time
• Serve as the first point of escalation for accounting questions

Client Service

• Communicate professionally with clients
• Resolve accounting issues proactively
• Manage deadlines across multiple engagements
• Deliver consistent, accurate work with minimal supervision

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of public accounting or client accounting experience
• Experience with Drake Tax, and Tax Dome required
• Experience with Quick Books Online is required
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
• Experience preparing business and/or individual tax returns
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Experience working in a U.S. CPA firm
• Experience managing remote teams

  You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
• Payments:
  All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
• Vacation Leaves and Holidays:
  While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
