About the RoleBe part of the team delivering the UK’s biggest infrastructure project. Balfour Beatty is seeking an organised and proactive Project Administrator to support our HS2 delivery team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key supporting role on a nationally significant programme, helping ensure the smooth and efficient running of project operations.
What You’ll Be Doing- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the HS2 project team.
- Prepare documents, reports, meeting minutes, and project records.
- Manage inboxes, calendars, scheduling, and coordination of internal and external meetings.
- Assist with onboarding processes, training records, and project compliance documentation.
- Support the maintenance of project databases, trackers, and filing systems.
- Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure effective communication.
- Uphold strong organisational, confidentiality, and data‑management standards.
- Strong administrative or project support experience, ideally within construction or engineering (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication, organisation and multitasking skills.
- Confident working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Detail‑focused with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive approach and willingness to support a busy, fast‑paced project environment.
- Team‑oriented, reliable and professional.
- Smart working with flexible start‑finish times and up to 40% remote working where roles allow.
- 25 days paid annual leave (pro‑rata).
