The 1001 Critical Days Foundation is determined that every baby should experience the best start in life. We are relentlessly focused on the first 1001 days – from pregnancy to age two – when the building blocks for lifelong emotional and physical wellbeing are laid down. We deliver our mission through grant funding frontline charities, commissioning pioneering research, and championing the importance of the 1001 critical days around the world.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, passionate team at a pivotal moment in our growth. As our Executive Assistant, you will provide vital administrative and coordination support to the CEO, Executive Chair, and Director of Research and Grants. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our operations, supporting international engagements, and helping us deliver on our mission.
Keyresponsibilities
- Provide proactive administrative support to the CEO, Executive Chair, and Director of Research and Grants.
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements, including international engagements.
- Support email correspondence for the CEO, Executive Chair, and Director of Research and Grants.
- Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions for internal and external meetings, including our three expert advisory groups.
- Ensure timely follow-up and completion of agreed actions across the team.
- Support the coordination of events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with document preparation and reporting, including those required for our Board of Trustees.
- Act as a professional first point of contact for senior stakeholders and partners contacting us through our website and generic email address.
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to supporting the team.
- Experience supporting senior leaders in a charity or purpose-driven organisation.
- Experience working as an Executive Assistant to multiple senior leaders.
- Experience of working with project management software, such as or Plinth, or enthusiasm to learn.
- Interest in supporting babies and their families.
Salary: £32,000 per annum

Central London (office-based with flexibility to work from home)
Pension: employer contribution matched up to 5%
