You will be joining the Applications Development and Maintenance practice working for a wide variety of clients across a large range of sectors from the public sector to retail, insurance and defence. You will build strong team and client relationships, support growth, innovation, and continuous service improvement.
Hybrid working: This role is hybrid working meaning you will predominately work from home but will be expected to attend the office regularly for meetings and team events. You can attend the office daily if you wish. You will need to be based within a commutable distance of our Glasgow office and may be asked to work on client site for part of the week depending on the client.

As an Applications Consultant within the ADM (Applications Development & Maintenance) practice, you will develop technical skills to support and enhance clients’ business applications, contributing to activities such as incident resolution, application enhancements, testing, and documentation. You will work within established delivery frameworks like Agile, ITIL, and Product‑centric approaches, advising clients on maximising application value.
Depending on your strengths and business needs, you may specialise as either a functional consultant (for example, HR, Finance, or Supply Chain) or as a technical application consultant, working with technologies such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud, and Java. Regardless of specialism you will engage with leading‑edge cloud and AI technologies, have ongoing access to world‑class industry training and certifications, and be actively encouraged to pursue industry‑standard qualifications to support your professional growth—all while consistently maintaining high delivery standards and best practices.

The degree apprenticeship with Glasgow Caledonian University is a 4‑year course in which you will study part‑time (day release) alongside your full‑time role. - BBCC or equivalent including Higher in Maths, Application of Maths or Computing
- Foundation Apprenticeship - We accept selected Foundation Apprenticeships, in combination with SQA Highers, for entry to our degree programmes. Your Foundation Apprenticeship will take the place of one SQA Higher qualification for our standard entry requirements and will be treated as equivalent to a B grade at Higher.
- Modern Apprenticeship - If you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF level 6 in a relevant discipline this would be equivalent to two Highers at
