Join our Power Transmission & Distribution team as a Finance Manager on the ASTI programme—major works that strengthen the electricity network so renewable power can move from generation in the north to where it’s needed across the UK.

• Own the numbers: Build and manage ASTI project budgets; forecast costs and cash; track KPIs and project performance.
• Control & optimise: Implement cost controls and spot efficiency opportunities without compromising quality.
• Tell the story: Prepare and present clear, insightful reports to senior leadership; lead the period‑end cycle.
• Cash is king: Monitor cash flow and liquidity; ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
• Assure & comply: Coordinate internal/external audits; ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and our Gated Business Lifecycle.
• Partner for outcomes: Work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial and other stakeholders to align financials with delivery milestones.
• Commercial focus: Apply sound commercial judgement; NEC Option C/E experience is a real advantage.
• Ledger discipline: Reconciliations, journals, and validation of revenue and profit.
• Invest smartly: Support capital planning, evaluate tenders and ad‑hoc initiatives with robust financial analysis.
• Improve continuously: Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations.

Who we're looking for

• Qualified: ACCA or CIMA.
• Proven: Experience operating at a similar level within project environments.
• Commercially sharp: Strong financial and commercial acumen; experience with NEC contracts (Option C/E desirable).
• Influential: Able to translate complex financials into clear actions for non‑finance stakeholders.

• Base: Aberdeen or Kirriemuir (hybrid).
• Pattern: We work flexibly, with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office to collaborate with the project team and key stakeholders.
• Travel: Some travel to other sites/offices and business meetings will be required.
