On average, each Planner completes 2
Saturdays and 1 Sunday per month. Planners may swap overtime between themselves based on preference, provided the team is happy, but if the rota is evenly split, this is the standard expectation. Our client is looking for an experienced, confident Planner who can hit the ground running with minimal support or training. You'll need to be able to stay calm under pressure, manage competing demands, and take ownership of a busy and varied workload. Essential:
Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling and coordination within the Utilities sector Excellent organisational and time-management skills Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management platforms Experience using Salesforce (this will be the main system used) Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders Calm, composed and proactive when issues arise Knowledge of NRSWA and the Traffic Management Act (TMA) — while formal qualifications are not essential, functional knowledge is required Desirable:
Experience using street works permitting systems, including Street Manager Geographical knowledge of the Thames Valley area What will your role look like? You will be responsible for:
Scheduling and coordinating teams of skilled field workers Managing workloads, allocating resources efficiently, and monitoring progress across multiple projects Using Salesforce to manage utility works, update workflows, and maintain accurate records Managing street works permits (where required) and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards Liaising with internal teams and clients to support the smooth delivery of works Maintaining accurate project documentation Ensuring all works adhere to health & safety requirements What's next?
