You will be responsible for building and maintaining long‑term partnerships with Energy suppliers and strategic partners. You will manage contract and commercial agreements with partners to get the best deals for Uswitch and customers.
Here’s a flavour of what our Commercial Team have been working on this week:- Shaping the future of key partnerships by negotiating new contractual terms
- Showcasing Uswitch’s Data Insight product to prospective partners
- Presenting our annual awards results to a major energy supplier
- Meeting with potential new partners interested in joining our comparison tables
- Speaking to our consultancy partners to get sharp insight on market dynamics
- Developing and pitching a business case for a brand‑new category to the Uswitch CEO
- Commercial negotiations: Leading commercial and contract negotiations with energy suppliers, using data‑driven insight to shape strategy and secure the best outcomes for Uswitch and customers.
- Partner relationships: Building strong, senior‑level relationships with Energy suppliers and acting as their primary point of contact.
- Data insight product ownership: Owning the commercial strategy for our industry‑leading data insight product, setting the vision for new features, and working with partners and the Insight team to drive adoption and growth.
- Market opportunity development: Turning market developments into commercial opportunities that move the business forward.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: Working closely with Product, Tech, Finance, Marketing and Legal to shape propositions and commercial models.
- Planning and forecasting: Developing revenue forecasts, supporting budgeting cycles and contributing to long‑term strategy.
- Industry expertise development: Growing your knowledge through active engagement at conferences and sector events.
- Regulatory and market insight: Connecting regulatory, consumer and market trends to shape high‑impact partnerships and thought leadership.
- Risk management: Identifying commercial, regulatory and partner risks early and building effective mitigation plans.
This is a commercial role in a fast‑moving energy team, so you’ll need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You’ll tackle complex problems, make sharp decisions, and find creative ways to drive success in a rapidly changing market. You’ll turn data into clear, high‑impact recommendations and use those insights to shape strategy and unlock new opportunities.
Energy industry experience is preferred but not essential for this role.
