Senior Operational Buyer

Hybrid Bristol, UK

We're looking for an experienced Senior Operational Buyer to help secure a reliable, sustainable supply of raw materials and keep production running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you'll influence supplier performance, improve buying processes, and support a high-performing procurement team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting into a senior supply chain leader, you'll play a key role in strengthening operational buying capabilities and ensuring purchasing activity aligns with business priorities.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage the procurement of raw materials to meet production schedules and demand

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating terms and monitoring performance across cost, quality, and delivery

  • Work closely with planning, production, and commercial teams to align purchasing with business goals

  • Drive continuous improvement across operational buying processes and systems

  • Coach and support Buyers, sharing best practice and developing team capability

  • Produce and analyse supply chain KPIs to improve service levels and inventory performance
