Overview
Beetroots Collective CIC is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, collaborative, and adaptable Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery of a community art project Folktales for New Scots.

Duration: 1st February 2025 - 30th March 2027
Working days: 30.5 days over the full project period, £200 per day
Contract:
14 months fixed-term contract: £6100
Location:
Flexible/home-based, coordinating activities across four locations, required to attend meetings in Edinburgh
Interviews: 15-22 January 2026
Folktales for New Scots is a community arts programme inviting participants - especially refugees and immigrants - to explore the lore and myths of Scotland.
The project includes:
- 24 workshops (6 in each location: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ayr, Peebles)
- 4 street events
- Coordinate project activity across 4 locations.
- Oversee logistics and maintain project timeline.
- Use project management tools to track milestones and responsibilities.
- Facilitate partner check-ins
- Liaise with collaborators, venues, partner organisations, volunteers, and participants.
- Support financial administration, including monitoring of the ring‑fenced project account.
- Assist with monthly financial tracking and reporting against the budget forecast.
- Ensure the procurement aligns with environmental sustainability goals and best value principles.
- Prepare required project reporting, including budget expenditure documentation.
- Maintain a regularly updated risk register.
- Uphold high operational standards.
- Ensure alignment with Beetroots’ Fair Work Statement and EDI commitments.
- Create and distribute a newsletter.
- Produce press releases for workshops and events.
- Prepare Eventbrite listings and Social Media posts.
- Excellent administrative and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi‑site activity.
- Knowledge of financial admin and basic bookkeeping.
- Ability to work independently and manage schedules and at 21:00.
