Principal Medical Writer

We are looking for a Principal Medical Writer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for :

• Developing an in-depth scientific knowledge of allocated accounts and using this to shape the communications for our clients’ brands
• Taking the lead on scientific discussions with medics and external experts, proactively making suggestions that are valued by the client
• Developing content for a full range of projects and taking wider responsibility for work on allocated accounts by overseeing, briefing and reviewing the work of other writers
• Contributing to the scientific strategy and ensuring messaging and content are aligned with the overall brand strategy
• Collaborating with internal colleagues, including account managers, creatives, editors and medical strategists, to ensure the seamless delivery of projects
• Sharing knowledge and expertise, as well as providing expert advice and guidance on brands and therapy areas to internal stakeholders
• Staying updated on industry trends, guidelines and best practices to inform and enhance the quality of our medical writing
• Contributing to business growth by proactively identifying opportunities, attending pitches and contributing to written proposals

With a deep interest in science and medical communications, we believe someone with the following experience could be a good match for this role :

• An undergraduate degree in a relevant science (essential) or a postgraduate qualification or PhD (desirable)
• Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
