Remote Recruitment is looking for a Web Designer to create clear, responsive websites from approved briefs. This fully remote role is based in South Africa and suits someone who combines visual design with practical website-building skills.

What you will do

• Turn approved briefs into clear page layouts and design concepts.
• Build responsive pages using the agreed website platform.
• Apply brand assets and maintain consistent typography and spacing.
• Check navigation, links and page behaviour across screen sizes.
• Review usability and identify issues before handover.
• Incorporate feedback and maintain organised design and build files.
• Document changes and communicate progress against agreed milestones.

What we are looking for

• A website portfolio showing practical design and build experience.
• An understanding of responsive layouts and user-friendly navigation.
• The ability to work from briefs and implement feedback accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence checking your work across devices.
• The ability to work independently and communicate progress reliably.
• Reliable internet and a suitable remote-working space.

Nice to have

• Experience using Figma and Word Press.
• Awareness of accessible design principles.

• Monthly remuneration of R24,000 to R35,000, depending on relevant skills and experience.
