Senior Product Designer

We are currently searching for a creative and intuitive Senior Product Designer to build upon a solid foundation of design thinking and concepts. You’ll join at an exciting stage of our product evolution, with the opportunity to influence how our design practice grows.

As our Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our SaaS platform. You'll contribute across the entire product lifecycle, from identifying user pain points and conceptualising solutions to crafting intuitive interfaces that delight users. In this role, you’ll use your full range of design skills to push boundaries, balancing user needs with business objectives in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

• Design and iterate on user-centred solutions for our SaaS platform through sketches, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Validate designs using user feedback, usability metrics, competitive analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Utilise Figma’s prototyping capabilities to effectively demonstrate interactions and functionality, helping to communicate the platform’s narrative with clarity.
• Partner closely with engineers to bring designs to life, addressing constraints and iterating rapidly.
• Engage with stakeholders, clients, and engineers to ensure designs meet user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to align on goals and promote a shared understanding of challenges and solutions.
• Conduct design and user research, including validation testing, to inform your designs.
• Design intuitive UI patterns within a cohesive design system to support large datasets, rich visuals and high-frequency updates, while ensuring responsiveness across devices.
• Apply WCAG accessibility standards and information design principles to communicate complex data through high-level visualisations such as charts and summaries .

You’ll bring a portfolio that demonstrates your design process, problem-solving and impact across digital products. Experience designing SaaS products is welcome, but not essential. We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced: 5+ years across product design, with strong skills in interaction design, visual design, prototyping and iterative delivery.
• Strategic:
  Able to balance user needs, business value and technical constraints to simplify complex journeys.
• User-centred:
  Grounded in usability principles, research and accessible design.
• AI-curious:
  Comfortable prototyping AI-powered features and using AI tools to improve design workflows.
• Collaborative:
  Experienced working with product managers, engineers and stakeholders in Agile or Lean teams, communicating ideas clearly and constructively.
• Self-directed:
  Confident owning design for a product area, making decisions independently while bringing others into the process

• A problem-solver and systems thinker:
  Able to connect the big picture with the details of complex user journeys.
• Insight-led:
  Able to use behavioural analytics, heatmaps and session recordings (e.g. Microsoft Clarity) to identify opportunities and measure improvements.

• Adaptable:
  Comfortable working through ambiguity, prioritising effectively and learning as the product and business evolve.

Other Requirements:

• Willing to travel occasionally to Manchester and/or other locations.
