Inbound Reservations Manager

Inbound Destination Management Company based in Cape Town, offering unique & customised tours for individual & group travellers wanting to explore beautiful Africa is looking for a Reservations Manager.

You will specialize in crafting personalized travel experiences with extensive expertise in luxury travel planning and crafting seamless, tailored itineraries that combine the best accommodations, experiences and local insights.

You will have experience in building strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring that their travel dreams become reality. Whether it’s arranging a bespoke safari experience or organizing an exciting adventure, you will be passionate about creating meaningful and memorable experiences.

You will lead a talented team of Destination Specialists, overseeing the seamless coordination of all reservations and ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service.

You will also be able to stay ahead of industry trends and constantly explore new destinations and experiences to offer to clients.

You will manage and oversees the entire reservation process for incoming travel inquiries, ensuring efficient and accurate booking management, creating travel packages, negotiating with suppliers, managing pricing and availability and coordinating all aspects of a visitor's journey.

This is a remote position with 1 day a week in office.

Duties:

Managing all aspects of the reservation process, including responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, and confirming bookings.
Developing and customizing travel packages for inbound tourists, including accommodation, transportation, and activities.
Building relationships with local suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing pricing and availability.
Ensuring smooth coordination of all travel arrangements, from initial inquiry to the completion of the trip.
Providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or complaints.
Implementing quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the reservation process.
Achieving sales targets and contributing to revenue generation.
Utilizing reservation systems and other relevant technologies.
Supervising and training a team of reservation staff.

Requirements:

Grade 12
A formal Travel & Tourism qualification
At least 4 - 5 years management or supervisory experience in inbound tour operating
Cape Town Based
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Proficiency in reservation systems and other relevant technologies.
Experience in the travel industry, in inbound tourism.
Proven ability to manage bookings from quote to completion.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
In-depth geographical, logistical and product knowledge of South, Southern and East Africa
