Construction and Design Planner

. The role reports to the Construction Project Manager and involves key responsibilities in capital project development, including renovations, expansions, equipment upgrades, and space planning.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (ASME consultants, contractors, clinic teams, loss prevention, IT) to define project scope and develop floor plans aligned with clinical needs and business budgets.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, validate designs, and facilitate on‑site meetings with consultants.
• Facilitate meetings with internal teams to gather input on space planning, finishes, and functional requirements.
• Periodically meet with suppliers and vendors to review and update finish selections and specifications based on product availability, budget, and quality standards.
• Assist in the preparation and creation of internal design concepts, templates, floor plans, renderings, and SOPs.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for all design elements and specifications.
• Support the Project Manager with RFIs, shop drawing reviews, project meetings, and documentation distribution.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to maintain finish selections and develop detailed material and finish packages tailored to each project.
• Finalize procurement of furniture, fixtures, and medical equipment with clinic teams and manage vendors, pricing, and deliveries from initiation to completion.
• Perform administrative functions and other duties as assigned to support the broader team.

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a design, planning or construction role, ideally within medical or commercial environments.
• Post‑secondary education in architecture, interior design, construction management or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• Strong understanding of space planning, interior finishes, building materials, and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and floor plans.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills working with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities, projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
