Improv Arena pays native Oromo speakers to act out short scripted scenes with a set emotion. The recordings are licensed to AI labs to train voice models.
Pay:
Up to $10/hr for speakers in Ethiopia, earned as coins (1,000 coins = $1) and cashed out via Pay Pal, Venmo or gift cards; daily earning caps apply.
You need: adults 18+, a quiet room and a microphone (a USB mic on a stand is recommended), and a short voice check when you start. Work from home, any hours.
Run by Luvu, Inc. (San Francisco, a16z speedrun). It is new: start small, read the voice license (recordings cannot be withdrawn after sale) and confirm your first cash-out.
