Our 12‑month Graduate Programmes give you the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects alongside subject matter experts. On joining you will receive a starting salary of £34,000 per annum, plus a £1,000 welcome bonus. You’ll also be eligible for a £1,000 exit bonus upon successful completion of the programme. In addition, you may be eligible for a Temporary Accommodation Allowance (TAA) subject to specific criteria.

We encourage you to spend at least three days each week on site to integrate with your team and maximise your learning experience.

• Be reporting to a Senior Product Security Advisor, with tasking guided by the Head of Consulting, and develop your skills by providing comprehensive cyber security and resilience support across multiple customer delivery scenarios and on your own assigned cyber security development project.
• Work alongside experienced IT professionals and engineers to analyse security threats, identify and mitigate potential security risks, and develop solutions to protect our products (radars, lasers, etc.), customers’ systems and data.
• Be fully supported to work towards industry‑recognised professional cyber security certifications and qualifications.

• Support the delivery of security aspects to the company’s core products and to external stakeholders, coordinating with engineering teams across the engineering lifecycle—from requirements to in‑service support and maintenance.
• Ensure products meet the highest standards in accordance with customers’ requirements and risk appetite.
• Take the lead in solving customer problems in an agile, innovative, and team‑centric manner.
• Work in a blended hybrid model, with a mixture of working from home and on site at a Leonardo office.

• A minimum of a 2:2 degree in an engineering discipline and/or cyber security discipline.
• or a higher degree, such as MSc or PhD in an engineering discipline and/or cyber security discipline.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team, making sound decisions based on available information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, both internally and with customers.
• Core consulting skills—building client relations, adaptability to changing schedules, reliability and quality of task delivery, flexibility in working hours and locations, team player.

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional national security vetting may apply, including eligibility for Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
