Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Leicester or Stafford or Glasgow / Work from Home Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 + benefits

To meet an increasing workload and support the development and growth of our company, Kelvin Power have a permanent position for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to work within the Civil and Structural Engineering Department.

Kelvin Power provides a wide range of engineering consultancy services on major infrastructure projects in the Energy Sector and have a strong team of experienced multi-disciplinary engineers and technicians delivering solutions to projects across the UK and ROI.

• Development and mentoring of design team.
• Delivering technically demanding projects, ensuring cost effective and timely delivery.
• Producing calculations and drawings for civil and structural engineering works associated with complex large scale substation projects including earthworks, roads and drainage, plant structures, steel framed and masonry buildings, foundations and water retaining structures.
• Producing conceptual and detailed substation design in accordance with customer specifications.
• Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols and implement best practice procedure.
• Liaising with Sub-contractors, raising PO’s etc.
• Attend site visits and client meetings in the UK and Europe.
• To hold the responsibility of project management of a portfolio of projects within Kelvin Power and to maximise the revenue, and margin (E-result).

• Minimum of five years post graduate experience.
• Academically qualified to BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering and working towards CEng MICE or MIStruct

• Experience of design and analysis software using ROBOT/TEDDS/Civil 3D/Windes Microdrainage/Info drainage.
• Experience of industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and ability to produce construction standard drawings using AutoCAD/Revit/Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
