Engineer / Senior Engineer (Highways and Drainage)
Join to apply for the Engineer / Senior Engineer (Highways and Drainage) role at Resolvo d.o.o. The position focuses on providing drainage and highway infrastructure design on all types and sizes of new development.
Responsibilities- Develop technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38, and S278 applications.
- Undertake a variety of technical assessments for new developments.
- Explain technical concepts to others including more junior colleagues and clients.
- Check technical outputs, drawings and reports produced by junior staff.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of presentations and present information to internal and external groups.
- Manage projects with moderate supervision ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.
- Provide updates on the progress of tasks in line with programmes.
- Write reports and liaise with clients and project managers on the management and coordination of projects.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in infrastructure engineering and construction.
- A degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
- Demonstrate suitable knowledge of relevant design standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards and relevant national planning policy.
- Be experienced in the preparation of highways and drainage design and in particular S38, S278 and S104 processes.
- Knowledge and application of drainage design from first principles and experience in the use of Microdrainage and/or Causeway flow software.
- Have experience in writing flood risk assessments or drainage strategies for development projects.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Be motivated, enthusiastic and committed to further developing your career in Civil Engineering.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and basic skills in AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
- A full UK driving licence, as the role may require visits to sites only accessible by car.
