Structures Design Engineer

Our client BAE Systems is looking for a Structures Engineer to join their dynamic team within the Military, Air & Information business unit. This role is based at the Samlesbury site with hybrid work arrangements available, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace projects. This is a 12-month contract position, working inside IR35.

• Experience in structural engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
• Proficiency in using relevant design and analysis software.
• Understanding of airframe structures and systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Design and integration of various airframe structures and systems.
• Ensuring the development of a safe, reliable, and maintainable product.
• Supporting design and development programmes in an agile environment.
• Collaborating with other Design Engineers to meet programme deliverables.
• Contributing to the F-35 Lightning II program, focusing on the BAE Systems developed elements of the F-35 Aft Fuselage.
