Role Summary

This is a civil engineering-focused technician role aimed at an individual with solid industry experience (5-10 years). We are recruiting an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

The consultancy is a well-respected SME with a strong technical culture and a predominantly chartered engineering team. The business delivers a diverse portfolio of work across both public and private sector frameworks, providing long-term project stability and technical variety. Project include hospital's, sports & leisure parks and retail sites.

offering guidance, mentorship, and exposure to a broad range of projects to support career progression with a lead technician and multiple experienced chartered engineers for guidance. The role offers a hybrid, flexible opportunity with the option to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with civil design tasks across a varied project portfolio
  Produce drawings, plans,s sections, schedules and documentation
  Work with senior engineers to translate design intent into technical documents suitable for construction
  Assist in preparing construction information, including layouts, general arrangement drawings,s details and compliance documentation
  Coordinate with architects,s engineers and contractors to ensure accurate information flow
  Support project delivery stage,s including reviewing as-built drawings, responding to technical queries and ensuring adherence to specifications
  Maintain drawing standards revise information, and contribute to quality control

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant qualification, such asan HNC, HND diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering Technology or significant practical experience
  Five to ten years' experience in a civil structural technician role
  Competency in software such as AutoCAD Revit or similar
  Ability to interpret engineer markups and construction documentation
  Good communication skills and teamwork ability
  Strong attention to detail
