The Senior Test Design Engineer, based in Wimborne, Dorset, is responsible for designing, deploying, and documenting automated electrical test solutions for aerospace applications. The role focuses on LabVIEW-driven test systems and electrical hardware, supporting military programmes across the full product lifecycle in Wimborne, Dorset.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop LabVIEW-based automated electrical tests for electronic components and systems.

* Deliver electrical test activities from concept to introduction into service, ensuring safety, validation, and configuration control.

* Support aerospace product development and verification for military applications.

* Produce and maintain technical documentation for test requirements, designs, and procedures.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

* Engineering or science degree, or equivalent apprenticeship-based experience.

* Minimum 7 years’ experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.

* Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit diagrams, and test hardware design.

* Proficient in LabVIEW, MS Word, and Excel.

* Experience debugging analogue and digital electronics using lab instruments.
