Design Engineer

Position: Design Engineer (Permanent)
Contek Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a reputable precision engineering company, located in Tamworth, West Midlands. Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking for a Design Engineer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

The company specialises in delivering both precision machining and sub-contract machining solutions, defence project work and the design and manufacture of superior quality work-holding solutions. Founded in the UK, in 1939, they has been working with customers to turn complex ideas and concepts into solutions for over 80 years and has built an exemplary international reputation.

PAY: £40,000 - £45,000 per year (Depending on experience)

WORKING HOURS:

Monday to Thursday (07:15am until 16:15 PM) and Friday (07:15 am until 12:15 PM) - Flexible for the right person - Partial remote working available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Design and development of mechanical components using Solid Works and Siemens NX.

* Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

* Conduct design reviews and participate in project planning meetings.

* Support the development of work holding solutions and machine tool setups.

* Perform analysis and testing of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications and performance standards.

* Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes, and testing results.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.

REQUIREMENTS

* Previous hands-on experience using Siemens NX is required.

* A solid understanding of machine tools and work holding fixtures.
