AboutThe Role
As a Graduate Sustainability Consultant you’ll learn a wide range of energy and sustainability skills while helping internal teams deliver sustainability tasks across a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake building performance simulation and energy‑related work streams, using a range of modelling approaches, tools, and techniques.
- Develop energy strategies with clients to lead sustainability innovation on a series of developments.
- Support the development of holistic sustainability strategies where required.
- Assist in the delivery of environmental assessments (such as BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc.) from early design stages through to completion.
- Develop an understanding of whole‑life carbon reporting to support clients’ Net Zero Carbon strategies.
- Communicate and engage with clients, design teams and contractors, with opportunities to visit sites during construction phases.
- Participate in the Group’s research, development studies and industry guidance work, and represent the firm on national design commissions and influential industry bodies.
- You’ll collaborate with the industry’s best, working with a wide range of built‑environment specialists.
- You’ll be part of progressive and exciting projects, experiencing innovative schemes across all sectors.
- You’ll advance your career on your own terms, thanks to structured career paths.
- Educated to degree level in Engineering, Architecture or the Built Environment.
- Knowledge or awareness of one or more of the following is desirable: BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon, Energy Modelling.
- Appreciation of broader sustainability issues, such as governance and reporting, climate‑change adaptation, behaviour change, etc.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working within a team environment.
- Commitment to sustainability.
