Job DescriptionAs a Commissioning Specialist at Vention, you’ll lead the deployment and integration of turnkey automation and robotics solutions for our clients. You’ll manage project execution, hardware and software integration, and client relationships to ensure each project is delivered to specification, on time. You’ll carry responsibility from planning through post‑commissioning support, continuously optimizing our delivery processes and driving innovation in how Vention serves its customers.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Execute project management and drive customer communications related to Vention’s turnkey projects.
- Program automated cells and robotic applications using Python and Vention’s programming interface.
- Install, configure, deploy and commission Vention’s turnkey projects at client sites, focusing on hardware and software integration.
- Provide feedback on potential improvements to relevant teams (Product, Applications, Sales, Marketing), ensuring learnings from delivery are fed back into future projects.
- Own the initial post‑commissioning support for the client.
- Create and maintain an improvement roadmap to continuously improve and optimize the end‑to‑end delivery process.
- Create and refine the documentation related to the delivery process, with the goal of handing off execution to different teams.
- Support the pre‑sale process with testing and product expertise.
- Ensure the work area is well‑organized and functional.
What You Bring to the Table
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in automation or robotics engineering, or equivalent related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive problem‑solver, capable of identifying/reporting issues and generating solutions.
- Attention to detail in the context of customer satisfaction.
- Python programming experience.
- Able to travel (25%) between Canada and the United States.
- Ability to split time 75% at Lachine office and 25% at St Henri office.
