Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Remote Based
Altera Recruitment Group is delighted to represent a market-leading organisation within the renewable energy sector in its search for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of innovative high-voltage (HV/LV) electrical projects and power generation systems across the UK.
We are seeking a technically strong, forward-thinking engineer who thrives in complex project environments and is passionate about driving the transition to sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and engineering of HV/LV electrical systems for large-scale renewable energy and grid integration projects.
- Deliver feasibility studies and technical assessments, providing expert input to support project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into wider infrastructure.
- Conduct system modelling, simulation, and optimisation to maximise performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's level) or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with relevant professional accreditation.
- Proven expertise in power generation systems, grid connection, and SCADA applications.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including IEC, ENA, and BS7671.
- Proficiency with system design tools (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD) alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive salary of up to £65,000 (DOE), plus £4,000 car allowance.
