Undergraduate - Product Lifecycle Management ICE (Power Products)
At Honda we embrace inclusion in our policies. While our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility. Regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half‑hour lunch break and 08:00 – 13:00 on Fridays. You can start between 07:00 and 11:00 and, if there are no business requirements, you may work from home up to two days per week.
In this role you’ll support the analysis of market trends, understand customer preferences, and work with different departments to help Honda’s ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with customer needs across Europe.
This placement is ideal for a student studying Marketing, Business, or a related field who is enthusiastic about market analysis and product marketing. The role will require occasional travel to our European branches, dealers, and manufacturing sites.
Market Research and Analysis- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings in Power Products ICE segments.
- Analyse regulatory developments and their impact on ICE Power Products in the European market.
- Use data‑driven insights to identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and emerging customer demands.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop go‑to‑market strategies, promotional plans, and product communication materials.
- Stay updated on EU regulations related to emissions, safety, and ICE technology.
- Ensure that all ICE Power Products comply with applicable laws and standards in the region.
- Provide recommendations to adapt the product portfolio to evolving regulatory environments.
- Track and analyse the performance of ICE Power Products in the European market, including sales, profitability, and market share.
- Prepare monthly market and competitor reports for senior management, highlighting key insights.
- Must be an undergraduate, undertaking a related degree, looking for a placement as part of their studies.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic and proactive, prepared to challenge the norm.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Japanese language skills are advantageous.
- Interest in the power products industry.
