As a Civil Structural Engineer in our Nuclear & Power Division, you’ll play a central role, creating spaces that matter. We have over 50 years of experience and delivered over 7 million work‑hours, making us the most prominent nuclear new‑build organisation in the UK. In this highly technical role you will work end‑to‑end on a broad range of projects with plenty of opportunities to grow and challenge yourself.
You will work a minimum of three days per week from a Power New Build or client office.
Are you an innovative civil or structural engineer or consultant, capable of agile, lateral thinking and enjoying developing a wide range of technical and management skills to deliver exciting projects? Do you aspire to develop in a niche industry utilizing your technical experience in design, finite element analysis and assessment, as well as your soft skills in client engagement and engineering management?
Are you nearly or recently chartered with a recognised civil or structural engineering institution (IStruct
E, ICE or other) but want to invigorate your career and broaden your portfolio with exciting new projects within a buoyant industry? We would enjoy supporting this transition with our skilled mentors and would like to hear from you.
We are looking for full‑time civil and structural engineers to join our growing team in our Bristol office to lead a wide range of new‑build nuclear projects including Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, SMRs and future fusion technologies. You will cultivate strong working relationships and develop your technical skills and management expertise to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
- You have a relevant level of professional experience, which could be derived from civil‑structural design and analysis (steelwork and/or reinforced concrete), research and development, project engineering or design consultancy.
- You can undertake and/or review the design of new building structures.
- You can work collaboratively from our offices and across our client sites to understand clients' needs and deliver on time, cost and quality.
- Are you excited by the prospect of developing your technical capability into something more specialist, or energized by the idea of supporting a team on one of our many world‑renowned projects?
- Do you enjoy exercising a questioning mind and perfecting your inquisitiveness to influence project outcomes?
