Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways / rail authorities, and developers.
It’s an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued growth in the workload of our successful Water business, we seek to recruit Urban Drainage Modellers across our UK offices to support of our service delivery to support our client requirements. Our teams work flexibly, and all of the UK offices listed under this vacancy are possible home offices for these opportunities.
You will join a team of engineers, modellers, geographers, GIS specialists and technicians and play a key role in delivering to a range of Clients including Water Companies, Local Authorities, developers with the potential to get involved with international projects.

** Your purpose:
*** Development of computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs and generation of outline solutions.
* Analysis of data.
* Supporting the development of engineering solutions and advising to our clients to help them make better asset investment decisions.
* Support development of reports and other project deliverables.
* Prepare (and adhere to) health and safety risk assessments.
* Support in the development of tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades.
* Supervising and developing staff and providing guidance to support their professional development at higher grades.
* Contributing towards technical innovation.
** What you can bring:
** Experience/awareness of urban drainage modelling within Info Works ICM (or CS), GIS packages such as ARC or Map Info and civil engineering would be advantageous but not essential as full on the job training will be provided where required. These roles will involve working on feasibility studies, using computer analysis typically to support flooding and environmental improvement projects, site visits and liaison with clients, contractors, stakeholders and other professional bodies.
