About The Role

Amazing infrastructure isn’t the only thing that gets built here. Incredible careers do too. Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and build something to be proud of. Based at the Warrington office, the role requires occasional visits to site at Sellafield, Seascale, Cumbria.

What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for an Engineering Construction Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in the nuclear or energy sector to manage commercial activities on complex industrial projects, including energy and utilities infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on large‑scale engineering construction projects such as power generation, water treatment, energy infrastructure, or nuclear decommissioning. A good understanding of NEC contracts is essential.

You will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and commercial reporting across multidisciplinary engineering projects, working closely with technical teams to manage interfaces and support successful project delivery.

You will seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Typically, the successful applicant will be a Chartered Member of the RICS, ICES or CIOB, have experience managing a small team of less experienced commercial staff, and mentor others on their journey to becoming professionally qualified. They will maintain their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and work within Engineering Construction for nuclear waste processing and storage and nuclear decommissioning.
