Job Description

Wood is recruiting a Scheduler to support our client’s Operations and Maintenance team on a 12‑month contract. The role is hybrid: 3 days in our client office in Aberdeen and 2 days working remotely.

Role
  • The Scheduler assembles executable work packages as part of the Maintenance Execution (ME) process, tracking and monitoring work orders from the Preventive Maintenance (PM) programme and Corrective Maintenance (CM) requests in SAP CMMS.
  • Finalises scope of work, prepares work instructions, and acquires discipline support, services, materials, and logistics for effective completion of tasks.
  • Monitors delivery dates and notifies the Scheduler and Maintenance Execution team when work packs are ready for scheduling/execution.
  • Maintains a clear overview of date constraints to ensure work packs are ready for schedule.
  • Raises deviations for safety‑critical work orders if delay is expected.
  • Interfaces with operations for work prioritisation, with Supply Chain for material delivery, and with IAPS planners for execution readiness; coordinates bundled activities in accordance with best practices and HSSE standards to preserve asset technical integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • HSSE:
    Act in accordance with the Health, Safety and Environment policy, preparing for maintenance activities and ensuring HSSE requirements are integrated into the work preparation process.
  • Work Preparation:
    Track and monitor approved work orders in SAP; assemble work packs of required quality; identify variances and secure authorisation; coordinate third‑party contractors and procure necessary parts; monitor delivery dates.
  • Deviation Management:
    Liaise with Operations and Technical Authorities on safety‑critical work; monitor deviations.
  • Pre‑RFSU Phase:
    Interface with operations, maintenance, vendors, and discipline engineering to prepare detailed work orders and packages.
  • Ensure all tasks are planned with correct labour, material, equipment; coordinate sequential and multi‑discipline activities; interface with other scopes; work with Purchasing; include quality requirements; develop first‑time maintenance item calls; set up an effective maintenance plan hierarchy; refer to relevant procedures.
Qualifications
  • Strong maintenance background with experience in oil & gas and proven record of maintenance execution.
  • Good understanding of technical disciplines, proficiency in spare procurement processes and SAP maintenance management system.
  • Strong experience with instruments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across disciplines.
Required Attributes
  • Entry‑level experience acceptable; full‑time commitment for 12 months.
  • Strong HSSE mindset.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
