Position: Senior Surveyor (Operational Management)

Overview

Senior Surveyor (Operational Management) role responsible for overseeing the design side of Agency adaptation and repair work and managing contractor delivery of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee design activities and prepare specifications, works schedules, and contract management
  • Manage and report on contractor performance and surveying projects
  • Provide technical advice on complex projects (e.g., extensions) and intervene where required
  • Maintain knowledge of building regulations and CDM; procure contracts, write specifications, and manage contracts
  • Manage own caseload including design, specification writing, preparing work schedules and reporting on the overall performance of surveying staff/projects
  • Travel across the County by car as required
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of building regulations and CDM
  • Experience procuring contracts, writing specifications, works schedules, and contract management
  • Experience in people and contracts management; strong communication and performance management skills
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Ability to travel by car around Cambridgeshire
Details
  • Hours:

    37 hours per week, full-time; flexible working patterns available
  • Contract:

    Permanent
  • Salary: £47,181–£52,413 per annum (City Pay Band
    7); pro rata for part-time
  • Location:

    The office base is Cambourne in South Cambridgeshire, with travel across Cambridgeshire. Staff may choose to work from home and are expected to attend meetings at the office as required.
