MCS Group is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join a well-established civil engineering contractor. This role provides an excellent chance for a skilled professional to take on an important position within a driven and collaborative team.

The Role We are partnering with a prominent contractor to appoint an Estimator to their growing team. In this position, you will be a key contributor within the Estimating department, working closely with submissions and technical teams to prepare competitive tender submissions. You will:
Take ownership of the estimating process on a range of significant tenders, coordinating supply chain engagement, liaising with clients, and working alongside internal commercial and delivery teams. Develop accurate cost estimates, cost plans and budgets from initial project information, demonstrating the ability to price from first principles and review subcontractor quotations. Support Design & Build tender requirements by identifying design considerations and engaging effectively with external designers.

Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, participating in tender meetings, collaborating with the wider bid team, and ensuring all costs are accurately captured within estimating systems. Provide support to colleagues within the estimating function, contributing to the development of junior team members while helping build strong client relationships and supporting business development initiatives. The Ideal Candidate :
Experience in estimating, commercial, or procurement positions within Construction or Civil Engineering. Strong understanding of cost management, estimating processes, and contract administration.
