Engineer – Fire Engineering at WSP in the UK & Ireland

A Little More About Your RoleAs a fire engineer, you’ll work on a range of projects, from a university in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, focusing on enabling innovative architectural design while ensuring fire safety.
You’ll run through design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines (Facades, Acoustics, Structures), present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and help inform the design team on changes that increase building safety.
We’ll support your professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations.
Qualifications• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience with in the fire engineering consulting industry.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
This bespoke programme provides technical report writing, team technical skills, project management (introductory and advanced), influential communications, commercial concepts, team collaboration challenge, and continuous improvement.
What We’ll Be Looking For You To Demonstrate• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) degree in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in fire engineering consulting.
• Availability to work from any UK major office.
• Hybrid working policy: work from home two days a week and collaborate in modern offices across the UK.
