From first concept, you will work within your team to design, develop, prototype and test very ergonomic products. This role is working with a close team of experienced and colloborative Mechanical Design Engineers.

£33-45K depending on experience / suitability Company Pension Company Life Assurance Scheme - Death in Service - 4 times salary 33 days holidays Full time permanent position 38 working hours per week 8-4.30 Mon-Thur with a 2pm finish on Fridays Role is predominenty office based in Lisburn with the possible flexibility of up to 2-3 days work from home each month when required The position of Mechanical Design Engineer:
Development products from concept through to manufacture, both individually, or as a member of a project team using Solid Works Work to required deliverables, ensuring design projects are on time and within budget Support prototyping by providing accurate data to the prototyping resources Support product/project reviews Ensure all products are thoroughly tested and meet regulatory requirements Work with other Designers, Implementation Engineers, departments, test labs, suppliers and contractors to ensure the successful project completion Adhere to design procedures and protocols, keeping electronic files Communicate project briefs to the design team Research projects thoroughly covering user needs, market requirements and technical requirements

Essential Criteria for this Mechanical Design Engineering position: A minimum of 3 years Mechanical Design Experience - Ideally within the creative development of products that require ergonomic considerations - Design of products such as bikes etc

Experience of designing and managing products from concept through development to full production A thorough understanding of manufacturing process including plastics and metal fabrication Strong concepting, visualization and problem solving skills Strong 3D design package experience such as Solid Works Sponsorship is not available for this role, please only apply if this is not required and if you can work permanently in NI without any sort of restrictions If this role is of interest, or if you have a relatable skillset that might match other similar vacancies;
