  • About this opportunity:

    The Aerospace and Defense Engineering Associate Intern will work on collecting information for the Value Engineering team, including review of component parameters, supporting testing of product for verification, gathering supply chain related data (cost, price, demand, inventory, etc), and creating documentation that would substantiate the choice of the new components. Will work under close supervision and receive detailed instructions on all work assignments.

    May work autonomously once proficiency in the tasks is achieved. May also be given more complex duties as proficiency is gained. This position will also provide exposure to the design of our customer’s products to gain valuable knowledge of how products are built and perform. This work will be done in the Aerospace and Defense division of Celestica, and will include working with other aerospace companies who are either partners or customers of Celestica.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface directly with Engineering, Supply Chain, outside Suppliers/Vendors, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Well organized, good time-management skills, detailed-oriented and a self-starter.
  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Highly adaptable with a strong desire to learn.
