Summary:

We are seeking two Senior Electrical Design Engineers for initial 6-month contracts with strong potential for extension. These roles focus on new connections design, emphasising protection and control in compliance with Distribution Network Operator (DNO) standards. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions, ensuring protection and control systems meet technical and regulatory requirements. The positions offer a hybrid working model based out of either Crawley or Maidstone, requiring three days in the office and two days remote working per week.

Candidates will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce detailed designs, review technical documentation, and support project delivery milestones. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers specialising in HV design and protection & control systems to contribute to significant infrastructure projects.

Skills:

Extensive experience in HV electrical design with a focus on protection and control Strong knowledge of Distribution Network Operator (DNO) standards Ability to produce and review detailed electrical design documentation and drawings Proficient in protection relay settings and control schemes Understanding of electrical system design principles and network integration Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical reporting Strong organisational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Experience working within hybrid working environments Commitment to delivering projects on time, to cost and quality standards
