C&I Engineer

Salary: £60,000- £70,000 plus annual bonus, company vehicle.

• Base site with home working.
• Occasional travel to company assets in your local region (South East UK). (roughly 50/50)

Outsource UK’s client are a global petrochemical storage and logistics firm who are looking to hire a number of Control and Instrumentation Engineers to join their team to be based regionally. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving control and instrumentation systems, ensuring effective, efficient, and safe operations, also providing technical support across operations, maintenance, and projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and driving performance improvements.

• System Management:
  Maintain and improve SCADA, PLC, DCS, and IACS systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Installation & Commissioning:
  Oversee the installation and commissioning of new control systems or upgrades.
• Technical Support:
  Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation and control systems. Provide support for system maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery planning.
• Documentation:
  Review and prepare technical documents, including system specifications, engineering deliverables, and commissioning procedures.
• Vendor & Contractor Management:
  Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure proper system troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Relevant experience in control and instrumentation systems.
• Experience with DCS / PLC / SCADA system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Experience with Functional Safety lifecycle.
• Ability to review and produce technical documents such as schematics, loop drawings, and system specifications.
