As a Senior Planning Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of some of the UK’s most critical nuclear projects. You’ll play a vital role in shaping and maintaining robust project schedules that drive delivery excellence across the full project lifecycle. This is a full‑time, permanent position working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis, with flexibility to work from home and on‑site at Warrington (Cheshire) or Bristol.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities- Support Project Managers to ensure delivery on time, within scope and budget.
- Produce clear, concise reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Track progress, identify deviations, and propose recovery actions.
- Manage schedule changes in line with NEC4 commercial requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules from initiation through to completion.
- Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and commercial scheduling.
- Proven experience in planning within engineering, nuclear, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Ability to produce monthly programme updates for customers.
- Experience delivering high‑value, complex projects across the full lifecycle.
- Professional certifications in planning or project controls would be advantageous.
