Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a forward-thinking manufacturing leader based in Rustenburg, North West , is actively seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site engagement and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute strategically to our client's innovative production processes. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical background in engineering principles, a proven track record in process improvement, and the ability to lead complex projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and methodologies into our client's manufacturing operations. This position is key to driving technological advancement and operational excellence.

• Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Develop and manage manufacturing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D and product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment for production enhancement.
• Develop and deliver technical training to production staff and engineers.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Generate technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the production team.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong expertise in process optimization, automation, and product development lifecycle.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of material science and manufacturing techniques relevant to the industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience working in a hybrid or remote team environment.
• Master's degree or professional engineering certification is a plus.
